GENUI explores Labor Team W exit just a year after labs group buyout
GENUI has tapped Rothschild to explore a sale of Swiss diagnostic laboratory group labor team w just a year after acquiring the company, according to two sources familiar with the situation.
The potential quick exit is being explored after the German sponsor received inbound interest from trade buyers, both sources said. The company, which offers a range of diagnostic tests from infectious diseases to allergies, has also seen rapid growth in the holding period, one of the sources said.
labor team w has EBITDA of EUR 50m, said the sources, with one adding that it has revenues of EUR 200m. Information memorandums (IMs) have already been distributed, this source said.
The process is being run quite narrowly and is expected to appeal mostly to strategics, according to the sources.
GENUI acquired the laboratory group in May 2021 in a process led by Cowen, at the time saying it was one of the five largest laboratories in Switzerland.
GENUI, Rothschild and labor team w did not respond to requests for comment.
