Cerberus acquires 10 shopping centres in Germany
Cerberus Capital Management has bought a portfolio of 10 German shopping centres through an auction, according to reports.
Cerberus is said to have bought the warehouses, trading under the name Monsoon, for €220m. German supermarket Kaufland is the properties' leaseholder for the next six years.
Monsoon's auction was initiated by insolvency administrator Barend de Roy van Zuidewijn from Dutch law firm AKD. It is not clear who Monsoon's former owner was.
The properties are based in Berlin, Dessau, Ellwangen, Freiberg, Halle, Hannover, Jena, Meißen, Oranienburg and Plauen.
Cerberus was unavailable for comment.
