Capnamic hires additional partner

Olaf Jacobi has joined Capnamic Ventures’ Berlin office as partner after leaving Target Partners.
He will be the third partner at Capnamic, a Cologne-headquartered VC, joining Christian Siegele and Jörg Binnenbrücker.
In his previous role, Jacobi was a partner and co-owner of venture capital company Target Partners, where he had worked since 2007.
From 2002-2004, Jacobi was chief strategy officer and a shareholder in Cobion, a developer of content security technology. He then became co-founder and managing director of Sirius Venture Partners, where he stayed for 18 months. In 2005, Jacobi founded the startup Collax, which delivers Linux-based servers for businesses. He left the company in September 2006.
The new partner was also on the boards of several companies, including Dedrone, Adsquare and Adjust.
Capnamic invests in digital business models. These include markets such as mobile applications, software-as-a-service, internet of things, fintech, mobility and e-health. The VC's last investment was Chrononext, a German online marketplace for luxury watches that raised $5.3m in November 2015.
