Deloitte hires two in Germany
Deloitte has appointed Markus Schackmann and Christofer Mellert as new partners in its German tax and legal services practice.
Schackmann and Mellert, who both worked at law firm Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft beforehand, will join Deloitte in October.
The duo will join the tax and legal services team as partners, focusing on M&A.
Schackmann oversaw the opening of Luther's London office. He specialises in advising local and international mid-market firms in domestic and cross-border M&A deals.
Prior to this, he worked as an in-house lawyer for ThyssenKrupp's legal department from 1996 to 2000. Mellert meanwhile joined Luther in 1998.
