GE Capital appoints German head of leveraged finance
GE Capital has appointed Ralph Betz as head of its German leveraged finance team in Frankfurt.
Betz will be responsible for the firm's origination in the EMEA market and work alongside Theo Weber, who will cover the market out of Munich.
The appointment is part of GE Capital's pan-European growth strategy and seeks to strengthen the firm's activity in Germany.
Prior to joining GE Capital, Betz worked as head of acquisition finance at Bank of Ireland in Frankfurt. He began his career at BHF Bank in Frankfurt before spending six years at Bank of Scotland.
GE Capital provides leveraged finance for mid-market private equity-backed transactions. It has a €5bn loan portfolio covering 160 companies across the EMEA region.
