
HP Ventures' Davidson steps down
Eran Davidson, managing director and CEO of Hasso Plattner Ventures (HP Ventures), has left after eight years at the venture capital firm.
Davidson has been with HP Ventures since it was founded in 2005. HP Ventures is named after its founder, German philanthropist Hasso Plattner, who asked Davidson to move to Berlin in 2005 to manage his VC firm. From 2012 onwards, Davidson was managing partner of Hasso Plattner Capital as well.
He is also co-founder, alongside Plattner, and vice chairman of Hasso Plattner Ventures Africa.
Davidson is also a member of b-to-v, a network of entrepreneurial investors that offers investment opportunities in the venture capital market.
Davidson was born in Israel, where he started his venture career at Israeli firm Inven Tech as vice president in 1996. He later joined Eurofund 2000, another Israeli venture fund. From 2002 to 2005, Eran worked as CEO at ProSeed Capital Fund in Tel Aviv.
Davidson holds an LLB from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Boston University.
