Former BVCA chief Mark Florman joins MCF

MCF Corporate Finance has appointed former BVCA CEO Mark Florman (pictured) and ex-Hawkpoint Richard Markus as senior advisers.
Florman joins MCF's London office while Markus joins the advisory firm's Hamburg office. Both focus on private equity and cross-border corporate finance.
Florman and Markus join MCF founder Hans Hermann Münchmeyer as the firm's senior advisers.
Florman stepped down from his CEO tenure at BVCA in May this year, while remaining strategic adviser and industry ambassador to the association.
Previously, he was principal at Doughty Hanson from 2001 to 2008, where he was responsible for the firm's Nordic activities. Florman also founded the pan-African private equity house 8 Miles.
Markus has worked in the corporate finance market for more than 20 years. In 2007, he founded and managed the German office for investment bank Jefferies.
Prior to joining MCF, Markus headed advisory firm Hawkpoint Partners' German office in Frankfurt.
