
Steadfast hires new partner

Frankfurt-based private equity firm Steadfast Capital has hired Brian Veitch, ex-managing director of Cognetas in Germany, as a partner.
Veitch will be responsible for managing transactions and portfolio companies from April 2011, when he will join Steadfast's nine-strong investment team.
The former 3i executive was a founding partner of Cognetas, formerly Electra, and has established the investor's presence in the German mid-market since 2000. He was a member of the company's investment and portfolio committees.
Veitch was also managing director of Legal & General Ventures, formerly LGV-Candover, as of 1996.
He holds a degree in Chemistry from Nottingham University.
