DZ Equity Partners exits Electrovac
DZ Equity Partners is reported to have sold the Austrian Electrovac Group to Semikron International.
The investor had acquired the company at the end of 2007 from the Bank of Austria Private Equity-Fonds UBF.
Electrovac was founded in 1947, employs 900 staff and is headquartered in Klosterneuburg. The company is globally active specialising in compound materials enabling high power density in electronic engineering processes. Its products are also utilized in photonics (lightemitting semiconductors) and for temperature-resistant sensors. Customers include the capital goods industry, power electronics, automotive industry and manufacturers of household appliances.
Products and appliances are also manufactured for the aviation industry, medical equipment industry, telecommunications, and other high-tech industries. Most are based in Europe, Asia, and North America.
