CMP holds final close for €250m fund
CMP has closed its CMP German Opportunity Fund III on its €250m hard-cap.
Campbell Lutyens acted as placement agent, while P+P Pöllath + Partners was the German legal adviser.
CMP's previous vehicle CMP German Opportunity Fund II reached a final close on €175m in April 2011.
Investors
Capital for the fund was raised from European, North American and Asian investors. North America accounted for 40% of the capital raised, while 20% came from Germany.
Investments
The fund will follow the same strategy as its predecessors. It will target equity and equity-related investments in Mittelstand companies in special or distressed situations, experiencing issues with liquidity, operations or balance sheets.
