Emeram buys Swiss technology business Xovis
German private equity firm Emeram Capital Partners has invested in Swiss tracking technology business Xovis.
Emeram, which acquired a majority stake, invested alongside the company's management, deploying capital from its Emeram Private Equity Fund I.
The business was acquired via an auction process organised by Altium.
The investor plans to grow the business by expanding into new markets. Counting several airports among its customers, Xovis now hopes to enter sectors such as transportation and facility management.
Company
Founded in 2008 and based in Bern, Xovis develops tracking sensors and measurement tools, as well as analysis software. The company offers a system for passenger tracking, flow measurement and analysis for airports. It also produces 3D optical sensors for retail and industry customers.
