
Afinum, BID Equity buys majority stake in Midoco
Private equity firms BID Equity and Afinum have acquired a majority stake in German software developer Midoco.
As part of the deal, the company's co-founders and managing directors, Steffen Faradi, Marcus Haarmann and Jörg Hauschild, will retain a minority stake.
According to a statement, the company is keen on using the fresh capital to expand internationally, including through buy-and-build opportunities.
BID Equity targets small- and lower-mid-cap enterprises with an enterprise value of between €2-60m, across the German and Austrian markets.

Established in 2005, Midoco develops software for the travel industry. Among its clients, the company claims business and leisure travel agencies as well as online agencies.
The business is headquartered in Hilden and employs 38 people.
