Bregal buys Swiss watches and jewellery retailer Embassy
UK asset manager Bregal Investments has acquired Swiss luxury watch retailer Embassy Jewel though its German mid-cap alternative vehicle Bregal Unternehmerkapital.
According to a source familiar with the situation, the GP acquired a majority stake in the business from the owning König family.

The vehicle raised €550m in commitments, and targets mainly equity investments between €30-150m in DACH-based companies with EBITDA values ranging between €5-30m. According to the firm's website, the fund manager can also provide credit.
