
Beyond Capital buys Ebertlang
German private equity house Beyond Capital has acquired a majority stake in IT management software distributor Ebertlang.
The company sold for around 1.5-2x its €10m turnover in an all-equity transaction, according to a source close to the situation.
With the fresh equity, Ebertlang will expand into new market segments in the German-speaking region. The company is also assessing potential acquisition targets.
Current co-CEOs Steffen Ebert and Volker Lang will remain at the helm of the firm. The company expects to roll out new products between mid-May and early July.

Founded in 1995, Ebertlang is an IT software distributor based in Wetzlar, Germany. The company sells software for communications, IT security and IT management on Windows operating systems. It distributes software exclusively via electronic software distribution and also provides support and advice.
The company employs around 40 people and generated a turnover of €10m in 2016 with a double-digit profit margin.
