Findos sells Gabo to Bregal Unternehmerkapital
Findos Investor has sold telecommunications micro-duct manufacturer Gabo Systemtechnik to Bregal Unternehmerkapital for an undisclosed sum.
Bregal plans to work together with management to focus on internationalisation, sales and the development of new products.
Bregal has made nine platform acquisitions and nine add-ons from its 2015 €550m DACH fund, including two Swiss companies, watch retailer Embassy Jewel and Kunstoff Schwanden, a manufacturer of complex plastic parts and components.
Previous funding
Findos acquired Gabo for an undisclosed sum in May 2010. At this stage, the company employed 90 people.
Company
Gabo designs, manufactures and distributes micro-duct systems for telecommunications companies and network providers. The company was founded in 1956 and first supplied Telekom with plastic pipes in 1970. According to local press reports, it recorded a revenue of €47m in 2015. It employs a staff of around 150.
