Battery Ventures acquires AED-Sicad
Battery Ventures has bought German geographic information systems company AED-Sicad for an undisclosed value.
Thomas Englert, the company's CEO and business ambassador for the city of Bonn, was the majority shareholder of AED-Sicad prior to the transaction.
Morad Elhafed and Zak Ewen of Battery Ventures will join the supervisory board of AED-Sicad as part of the deal.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Bonn, AED-Sicad sells geographical information to public and private clients including the German Federal Ministry of Defence, the Saudi Electricity Company, and the Curcao water and power company. It has 175 full-time employees.
