
VR Equitypartner acquires Kälte Eckert
VR Equitypartner has bought a majority stake in cooling technology company Kälte Eckert for an undisclosed sum.
This is the start of a buy-and-build strategy in the industrial cooling sector for VR Equitypartner. Extra capital has been reserved for further acquisitions, according to a source close to the situation.
The company is led by the sons of its founder, Horst Eckert, namely Michael and Holger. The two brothers will remain in their roles and retain a significant stake in the company after the transaction.

Founded in 1966, Kälte Eckert develops and installs environmentally friendly industrial cooling systems. Its clients include Daimler, Unicredit and LBBW. The company recorded revenues of €10m in 2016 and employs 50 people.
