
CIC buys printing machines manufacturer Hunkeler
CIC Capital, the international private equity arm of French investor CM-CIC Investissement, has acquired a minority stake in Swiss printing machinery manufacturer Hunkeler.
Stefan and Michel Hunkeler will retain a joint majority stake in the business, and said CIC was the ideal partner for the company's long-term development.
Samuel Babey led the transaction for CIC and has joined the board of Hunkeler.
Hunkeler's sister company, Hunkeler Systeme, is not involved in the transaction.
Company
Hunkeler was founded in 1922 and is now owned and managed by the second and third generations of the Hunkeler family. It offers digital printing services to a range of clients including printers, publishers, banks, post offices, packaging companies and finishing suppliers. The firm is headquartered in Wikon and employs 280 people.
