
Nimbus invests in crane builder KW-Kranwerke
Netherlands-based Nimbus has acquired crane builder KW-Kranwerke.
With the backing of Nimbus, KW-Kranwerke plans to strengthen its market position, and expand its service and retrofit business. Nimbus acquired its stake in the company by purchasing the shares of main shareholder Karl-Philipp Schneckenberger.
Nimbus recently launched its fourth fund and opened offices in the UK.
Company
Based in Mannheim, Germany, KW-Kranwerke has 90 employees and generates annual sales of €20m. It designs and manufactures overhead travelling cranes for customers in the waste-to-energy sector, as well as specialist cranes and dredgers.
