Lea Partners acquires Landwehr
Lea Partners has acquired a majority stake in human resources software provider Landwehr.
The Landwehr management team has made a significant investment in the company, and the founding family will retain a significant minority stake.
Lea Partners used its Lea Mittelstandspartner fund for the transaction; the vehicle closed on €200m in May 2018. The fund invests between €10-40m taking both minority and majority stakes in SMEs in the DACH region.
Marc Linkert, Hubert Obermeyer and Thorsten Temme will take over as general managers from the founding family following the transaction. The company plans to expand its existing product and service offering and strengthen its sales and technology departments.
Lea Partners expects to launch a buy-and-build strategy with the management team.
Company
Founded in 1994, Landwehr develops and sells human capital management software, mainly for the temporary work and building services sectors. The company claims to have more than 2,000 customers and employs 260 people.
