
Fidelium buys Mühlhoff Umformtechnik
Munich-based Fidelium Partners has acquired auto parts manufacturer Mühlhoff Umformtechnik from its family owners.
The GP drew capital from its €103m Fidelium Special Situations Fund, a vehicle set up to invest in carve-outs and companies with operational challenges.
Mühlhoff generated sales of €81.4m in 2017, but made an overall loss of €2.4m, according to publicly available documents.
Unquote understands that the company is now profitable, but is still going through some operational challenges with the rollout of new models. It generated sales of €82.98m in 2018.

Mühlhoff was founded in 1832 and is headquartered in Uedem in North Rhine-Westphalia. It makes complex formed parts for the automotive industry, and its clients include BMW, Daimler, Ford, Volvo and VW. It employs 400 people.
