EQT exits EIS Aircraft to Hannover Finanz
EQT has sold its 95.02% stake in EIS Aircraft to Hannover Finanz for an undisclosed amount.
EQT acquired EIS via an MBO in 2015, deploying from the 2013-vintage EQT Mid-Market Fund, which held its final close in January 2014 on €1.1bn.
At the time of the acquisition, EIS reported a 2013 turnover of €40m. The GP said it would improve the company's product offering and invest in its product portfolio during the holding period. According to Unquote sister publication Debtwire, EIS generated around €7-8m in EBITDA at the time of the buyout.
In 2018, EQT sold EIS division EIS Aircraft Operations in a trade sale to defence, security and aerospace training provider QinetiQ for an undisclosed amount.
During the investment period, EQT said it also professionalised the company's management structures, and increased its product offering and customer base.
