
CGS Management buys Kalt Maschinenbau
CGS Management has bought cheese-making machinery producer Kalt Maschinenbau from its previous owners, the Winkler family.
Siblings Nadine and Stephan Winkler will remain in their operational positions during the transition period. Stephan Winkler will also join the company's board of directors.
According to a statement, CGS plans to support a buy-and-build strategy for the company to form a new industrial group in cheese-making. The firm also plans to support the development of Kalt's product portfolio and services, as well as the company's digitalisation and international expansion.
The GP is currently deploying equity from CGS IV, which held a final close in June 2018 on CHF 240m. The vehicle deploys equity cheques of CHF 15-40m, focusing on companies with revenues of CHF 10-80m.
