Allegra buys two printing companies from Sandoz Family Foundation
Allegra Capital has acquired two printing companies – Switzerland-based graphic arts printing company Genoud Entreprise d'Arts Graphiques, and Italy-based market peer Musumeci – from the Sandoz Family Foundation.
The Sandoz Family Foundation focuses on investments in the watchmaking, pharmaceuticals, tourism and culture industries.
The CEOs of both companies will remain in their roles following the transaction. Genoud will now wholly own Musumeci.
Allegra acquires loss-making corporate subsidiaries in carve-outs from their parent companies, targeting companies with revenues of €10m-1bn in which the firm can take full or majority ownership.
The GP focuses on special situations investments including management problems, environmental problems, time pressure, poor data and communications issues, as well as instances where companies are facing an uncertain future.
Company
Switzerland-based Genoud was founded in 1957. The company specialises in graphic arts in print media for luxury industries such as Swiss watchmakers. It is based in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland.
Musumeci is based in Quart in the Aosta Valley. The company was founded in 1837 and focuses on art prints, photobooks, catalogues and magazines for luxury industries.
