Silverfleet exits Pumpenfabrik Wangen to Atlas
Silverfleet Capital has sold industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen to Swedish industrial manufacturing conglomerate Atlas Copco.
The GP acquired the asset in 2017 via Silverfleet Capital II, which closed at EUR 870m in 2015.
In 2020, it had revenues of EUR 46m and an adjusted EBITDA of EUR10m, according to the latest set of financial accounts available.
Silverfleet originally bought the asset when it had EUR 37m revenue and was marketed off an EBITDA of EUR 10m-11m, as reported, for a 10.5x multiple.
The private equity firm said Wangen had seen above market average revenue growth rates above 8% and that EBITDA had increased significantly during its ownership.
Silverfleet bolted-on the progressing cavity pumps segment of German machinery manufacturer Knoll in early January and has also helped Wangen to grow originally in the US, through its site in Illinois.
The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2022.
