
Waterland backs creation of Fleetpro
Waterland Private Equity has backed the merger of River Advice and International Shipping Partners by taking a majority stake in newco Fleetpro, a ship management company headquartered in Switzerland.
The group combines River Advice's 35 river cruise vessels under management and 1,250 employees with International Shipping Partners' 20 ocean cruise ships and 1,100 staff.
The group's management will consist of Robert Straubhaar (CEO), Robert Heijlands (COO), Christian Hütwohl (CFO) and Niels-Erik Lund. The founders of both companies will remain substantial shareholders and active managers of the group.

Fleetpro provides independent services for both ocean-going and river-going passenger vessels, including planning, financing and supervision of new-builds and the refurbishment of existing vessels.
Its headquarters are in Zug, with further operations in Basel (River Advice) and Miami (International Shipping Partners). The group employs 2,350 staff overall.
