SHS acquires SIS-Schwager Group
SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement has acquired Swiss healthcare company SIS-Schwager Group.
The GP plans to expand the company to more countries and to open up additional application areas.
SHS is currently investing from its fourth fund, which closed on €125m in May 2015. The GP focuses on life sciences and medical technology companies. SIS-Schwager is the vehicle's fourth acquisition, having invested €20m so far.
Company
Founded in 2005 and based in Winterthur, the SIS-Schwager group comprises SIS Medical and Schwager Medical. The two companies produce and distribute products for the treatment of vascular diseases, such as balloon catheters.

Michael Schwager is founder of SIS-Schwager. Hubertus Leonhardt is managing partner at SHS.
