Viventures II reduced by 20%
Viventures Partners, which raised EUR 640m for Viventures 2 in, has announced that it is reducing the size of the fund by 20%. Jean-Pascal Tranié, the managing partner Viventures Partners comments that the move is a realistic one, given a difficult economic climate which has particularly affected the information technology and telecommunication sectors. He adds that the firm will continue to actively seek out quality deal flow, adopting a prudent but steady pace of investment. The fund has 21 portfolio companies to date and is currently reviewing opportunities in early-stage companies, mature businesses and special situations with attractive valuations.
