Apax Partners & Cie joins forces with IBM Global Financing
Apax Partners & Cie in Paris has formalised an agreement with debt provider IBM Global Financing, through which the two entities will share dealflow and work in partnership on certain deals, specifically buyouts and other leveraged transactions in the telecommunications and information technology sectors. Bertrand Pivin, a director at Apax Partners & Cie, comments that the two groups will exploit their respective expertise in the private equity arena and the technology industry in order to provide added value for companies seeking financing. IBM Global Financing is an independent arm of the IBM Corporation, set up by Guillaume-Olivier Doré, which has been providing leverage for deals in France since the beginning of 2000. It has recruited a specialist team with various sectoral interests and aims to finance mainly French companies in the information technology sector seeking short, medium and long-term support.
