Nominees unveiled for financial news awards
Nominees have been announced for the 2005 financial news awards for excellence in European private equity, with dozens of companies short-listed for prizes in 13 categories. The awards, which will be presented on 5 April 2005 in the City of London's Merchant Taylor's Hall, will honour the year's most innovative deals, buyout firms and personalities throughout Europe. The categories range from European disposal of the year and private equity personality of the year to awards for specific deals and buyout firms. Regional awards for the best buyout firms in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and the Nordic region will also be presented. Winners will be decided by a panel of more than 30 bankers, investors, advisors and other industry professionals. This is the third presentation of the annual awards, which are the only industry prizes covering Europe's private equity industry. Jeremy Coller, CEO of Coller Capital, will deliver the keynote speech at the lunchtime ceremony. Nominees for the award categories can be viewed online at www.efinancialnews.com/awards/pe2005.
