CSFB France
Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) has announced that François Roussely will join the CSFB as chairman of CSFB France and vice chairman of CSFB Europe. Roussely will join on 1st January 2005 and will be based in Paris. In his role as Chairman of CSFB France, he will be responsible for delivering the entire range of investment banking products to clients. As a Vice Chairman of CSFB Europe, he will work with CSFB's senior management and investment bankers to provide strategic counsel to clients worldwide. Roussely joins CSFB following a distinguished career in French government, business and industry. Roussely served as Chairman and CEO of Electricité de France, one of the world's leading energy suppliers from 1998-2004. Prior to joining EDF, he held a number of senior positions in the French government, serving the Ministry of Defence and the Home Office from 1981-1997. During the 1980s, Roussely was responsible for the implementation of decentralisation and modernisation of the national police force and in the 1990s he was in charge of the transformation of the armed forces and defence industry.
