To Luna
To Luna (http://www.toluna.com), a Paris-based consumer evaluation site of goods and services on the internet, has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by Cjudge, which is owned by Consuvote (http://www.consuvote.com). The transaction has provided an exit for the French incubator, Tocamak, and the early-stage investor TriNova. Tocamak originally provided a FFr 1m seed investment when To Luna was founded in January 2000, while TriNova provided a FFr 6.56m first-round investment in the same year, alongside Aliz@ction and IPBM. The investors acquired minority stake in the company in return for their investment. To Luna announced a turnover of FFr 400,000 for the last financial year, although it also announced liquidation in February 2001, and the loss of its 20 staff. The buyer, Consuvote, which has acquired the To Luna name, is a UK and France-based is also an online community portal.
