
La Poste to launch venture fund
Martin Vial, the chairman of the French post office has announced the organisationÂ’s intention of launching a venture capital fund for investment in internet start-up. The new fund will allow the French post office to catch up its German and Dutch counterparts which manage Euro 50m and Euro 100m funds respectively. Any direct investments already made by La Poste are currently grouped in a portfolio managed by the holding company Sofiposte.
