Royal Bank of Scotland
Pascal Werner has joined The Royal Bank of Scotland as managing director and head of leveraged finance for the bank's French operations. Werner will be reporting to Eric Mallaroni, Donald Bryden and Euan Hamilton, and replaces Michel Chabanel, who left the bank this summer for the private equity house Pragma Capital, where he is working as a senior investment partner. Werner was head of acquisition finance at Crédit Lyonnais for over five years, and was also responsible for its operations in Milan, Paris, London, Frankfurt and Madrid. Prior to this, he held various senior posts at BNP Paribas, UI, Unicrédit and Crédit Agricole Lazard Financial Products. RBS Leveraged Finance now has a total of 80 professionals working across its European and US offices.
