Bionest expand operations
French financial advisory firm Biotech, which specialises in biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies, has broadened its operations to include a new investment banking operation. Bionest, which was established in 1996, is aiming to assist biotech companies to secure second round financing despite the current climate. The firm carries out due diligence on behalf of venture capital investors who are interested in start-up sector companies, and also helps new companies to license out their technology to the large laboratories. The aim of the new initiative is to allow start-up companies to improve their cash flows and thereby delay the necessity to seek new funds.
