Amercian Capital makes financial co

American Capital Strategies Ltd has just announced that it has entered into an aggregate of EUR 201m in equity commitments with a group of institutional investors on behalf of its European affiliate, European Capital Ltd. American Capital also announced that it will commit EUR 499m in equity financing for European Capital, bringing the total commitment value to EUR 700m. All such equity commitments have been privately placed and have not yet been funded. They are expected to be drawn down by European Capital over an approximate two-year period to fund its investments and operations in the ordinary course of business.
