Fortis moves to London
Fortis Investments is set to relocate its Paris-based small-cap team to London, following the recruitment of four specialist fund managers from Baring Asset management in the UK. The asset management company, owned by the Belgo-Dutch Fortis Bank, has poached Maria Polycarpou, who will head the team, as well as two other fund managers, Sascha Hirsch and Silvia Wendlinger, and one analyst, Sam Cosh. Polycarpou has become Fortis Investment's head of European small-caps and will report directly to William de Vijder, the global chief investment officer.
