The Carlyle Group

The Carlyle Group has boosted its European team with the appointment of Yves de Chaisemartin as senior advisor. The chairman of the supervisory board of French technology consultancy, Altran, has spent most of his career with the media giant Socpresse. Carlyle sold its 40% stake in Le Figaro to Socpresse in 2002. De Chaisemartin rose from assistant general manager to chairman of the board, but left in Septebmer 2004. He was also chairman of the Parisian press trade union from 1996-2000.
