Finama Private Equity's Quartilium, the private equity fund-of-funds arm of Groupama in France, has appointed Yonel Génin as Investment Manager dedicated to secondaries. Yonel has seven years of experience in private equity. He began his career in 1996 as a financial analyst at Crédit Lyonnais Caracas in Venezuela. Between 1998 and 2000, he worked at Arcis Finance, a private equity secondaries firm based in Paris. In 2000, Yonel joined the LBO private equity team of ABN AMRO Capital France. For four years, Yonel worked on investment opportunities in different sectors, particularly retail, healthcare and services. Yonel holds a Master Degree of Corporate Finance from University of Paris Dauphine and a DBA from Lancaster University, Great Britain. He will focus on developing the secondary activity within Quartilium's team, targeting mid market transactions both in LBO and venture private equity funds invested either in Europe or North America.
