On 21 June 2004, the advisory board of AFIC elected Dominique Oger as president of AFIC. Vice-president of the association since June 2003, Dominque Oger is founder and director of AtriA Capital Partenaires. Afer beginning his career in venture capital at ANVAR, Oger subsequently founded Sofinnova where he was director general of Sofinnova Madrid, the first Spanish venture capital firm. Concurrently, Gonzague de Blignières of Barclays Private Equity has assumed the position of vice-president and will assume the presidential position in place of Oger when he has completed his term with the association.
