METabolic Explorer appoints Michalet

The biotechnology company METabolic EXplorer has announced the appointment of Paul Michalet as administrative and financial director. As well as being responsible for administrative and financial management he will also cover investor and market relations. From 1999 to 2004, Michalet was financial director for the cosmetics technology company Coletica. During this time he contributed to the company's IPO and prior to his time at Coletica, Michalet worked as a financial auditor at Coopers & Lybrand before becoming administrative director at Air France and then CIPE (part of the Tyco group).

Crédit Lyonnais Private Equity, Viveris Management and FPCR Gestion (FCJE), a fund of CDC PME, joined previous investors SPEF Venture and Sofimac & Sofimac Partners in a EUR 6m second round of funding to support METabolic EXplorer at the beginning of 2003. At the time, METabolic EXplorer had received a total of EUR 8m in funding since the company was founded in July 1999.
