Sequans Communications receives ANVAR funding
The semiconductor company Sequans Communications has been awarded a EUR 500,000 grant by the French Agency for Innovation ANVAR. Sequans designs and develops silicon and software for WiMAX, enabling service providers to deploy new radio network architectures with significant cost reductions. The ANVAR grant comes after a first round of funding raised by Sequans in June. The capital will be used in its entirety to fund research & development activities. In addition, Sequans is busy completing a second round of funding from US and European investors. This will permit the company to continue with technological developments and fund its international expansion operations, specifically in the US and Asia.
