Gilles Gramat has been appointed as chairman and managing director of UI (l’Union d’Etudes et d’Investissements), the investment arm of Crédit Agricole. Gramat joined Crédit Agricole in 1987 as managing director of Unidev and has been managing director of UI since 1993. As well as his current role, he is the director of Crédit Agricole’s international investments and chairman of IDIA Participations, the arm of UI which targets small-to medium-sized businesses, and Sofipar, which invests in agricultural groups. He is also on the supervisory board of Elior, and is on the boards of Eurazeo and FCOF Oberthur.
