The New York State Common Retirement Fund commits to Access Capital Partners
Access Capital Partners, the European Private Equity fund-of-funds manager and adviser, has announced that it has been appointed by The New York State Common Retirement Fund to select and manage investments in European mid-market buyout funds. The office of Alan G. Hevesi, representing the New York State Common Retirement Fund, has committed E250m to a dedicated fund managed by Access Capital Partners. The vehicle will commit capital over the next three to four years to selected mid-market buyout funds operating in Western Europe.The mandate will focus on making commitments to leading and emerging European general partners targeting acquisitions in the E10-250m enterprise value range across Europe which has historically been the core focus of Access Capital Partners' strategy vis-Ã -vis European buyouts. Access Capital Partners is a European Private Equity funds-of-funds manager and adviser. The company was created in January 1999 as an independent fund management company. To date, it manages or advises E900m through its own funds-of-funds as well as mandates from specific clients. Its exclusive geographic focus is Europe, where it specialises in mid-market buyouts as well as technology venture capital funds-of-funds.
