Duke Street Capital
Duke Street Capital has appointed two new board members, both of whom are experts on the French market. Duke Street, which is already an active player in France having carried out deals such as Insert/Publiprox (December 1999, page 24), is currently looking to extend its reach with the appointment of new experts on the market. Rémy Sautter, chairman and CEO of RTL Radio, will advise Duke Street on French media companies, while Michel Jouen will advise on French chemical companies. Jouen was previously deputy general manager of the general chemical conglomerate Pechiney Ugine-Kuhlman. He was also formerly deputy international manager of Elf Atochem, the chemicals subsidiary of Elf Aquitaine. Meanwhile, Samantha Soller joined Frédéric Chauffier’s investment team from DLJ Phoenix as recently as May.
