Activa Capital set to acquire main
Activa Capital has entered into agreement with Renault Trucks to purchase a majority stake in its spare parts and small series business activity (PRPS) in Limoges. The business activity generates EUR 80m in annual net sales and employs 350 persons. It specialises in manufacturing rear and front axles as well as engine and gearbox components for commercial vehicles. Renault Trucks intends to turn its full attention to its core business of designing and assembling light- to heavy-duty vehicles, with the goal of strengthening its position in the world commercial vehicle market. Michael Diehl of Activa Capital comments: ‘PRPS’s management team has developed the business successfully so that it now sells 40% to customers outside the Renault group. It doesn’t just sell trucks either, but also construction and agricultural vehicles, metros and buses.’
