Viventures launches London office and appoints new directors
Vivek Tandon has been named as a new director at Viventures and was also given the remit of establishing a UK office for the group in Reading. Previously, Dr Tandon was vice president of marketing and business development at Kymata, a Scottish-based optical components company. Prior to Kymata, he was director of product marketing and management at Ciena Corporation. From 1993 to 1998, he was engineer and business development manager for British Telecom, with a particular focus on ATM, SDH (SONET), optical components, signaling, personal numbering, intelligent networks, optical fibre systems and future telecommunication multimedia services. He also co-founded VICOM Group Ltd (a bandwidth wholesale reseller). He is a graduate of Imperial College and holds a PhD in Engineering and Optical Networks from University College London.
