Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) has announced the appointment of Jacques Garaïalde as managing director of its European team. Garaïalde’s appointment is in line with the company’s strategy to develop its French operations and open a division in Paris following the acquisition of Legrand at the end of 2002. Garaïalde was most recently managing director for European venture investments at The Carlyle Group. He had previously been senior partner at the Boston Consulting Group, where he built significant management consulting practices in France and Belgium. He began his career at Exxon.
