Lydian Capital Advisors
Formerly a high-profile adviser to France's top financial regulator, Christopher Kelly is to head up a newly formed private equity firm, Lydian Capital Advisors. In mid-2003, the COB created a special position for Kelly, the Morgan Stanley banker who is now moving to the Geneva-based investment house founded by Denis Brosnan, former chief executive of the Irish food ingredients company Kerry Group. The firm plans to target the European mid-market and has received commitments amounting to EUR 500m from high-net-worth individuals and will not be seeking further investors. The fund has a ten-year life and will be targeting companies with an enterprise value in the region of EUR 1.5bn and EUR 2bn.
