Siparex registers high-level result
Sigefi Private Equity has reported the business of both the companies and funds it manages as being excellent over the first seven months of 2005. SiparexÂ’s management company claims that investments have remained at a high level overall. There was a sharp increase in its mid-market growth capital and buyout deals, whereas venture capital deals returned to more usual levels following the exceptional acceleration in 2004. Exits were considerably higher, benefiting from a particularly favourable period early in the year for both the growth capital/buyout and the venture capital segments. Capital gains rose to EUR 40m, more than four times the amount over the same period a year earlier, and up by 67% compared the total for 2004.
